The cruise lasts approximately 90 minutes, taking you on a round trip from 1 Elgin St. to Dow’s Lake and back. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a peaceful ride on our 100% electric vessel, complete with a bilingual tour guide who will share the fascinating history of the Rideau Canal and Ottawa. Sit back and relax with a drink or snack from our fully licensed bar as you take in the city’s beautiful sights.
Booking your canal cruise is easy! You can reserve your spot online through our website, or visit our kiosk at 2 Rideau St., located directly across from the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. Our team will be happy to assist you with your booking in person.
Yes, our canal cruise is fully wheelchair accessible. You can access the boat via Elgin Street and the National Arts Centre, and there is ample space on board to accommodate wheelchairs, ensuring a comfortable experience for all guests.
Please note that all tour tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. We recommend arriving at least 20–30 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth boarding process. Premium seating is available, allowing you to board first and select your preferred seats.
